it used to be spams and vibrations from the phone at the stroke of midnight. now, it's just a few messages from friends (more unexpected ones at that. anyone out there still feels the need to text someone on their special day at the stroke of midnight? i know i do, and it means a lot to me. i make sure i stay up to 12 to wish my close friends happy birthday cause i hope it makes them feel special? (: am i too traditional and not keeping up with the times here?! hahahahhaa. i know i probably dont sound convincing, but i am not bothering to, so believe it or not im really not complaining here because i know its not that people dont care, its just that they are lazy and im not gng to fault them, just jaded about the value of friendships as we age, and how much more convenient (and sucky, but i admit i do it too) facebook makes wishing people happy bdays such that no one bothers to remember dates anymore now........
always thought it was lame when people remove their birth dates from fb, but right now im going to do the same cause I realized why -- because you only need wishes from the people who matter, and those who matter will bother to remember (:
